Donations of Money

The Library will gratefully accept donations of any amount. Acknowledgments will be sent to all donors. General-purpose donations will be deposited into a special gift fund. This fund will not be used for general operating expenditures, but only for special purchases, projects, or programs.

Monetary donations may also be made for collection materials. Purchases from this fund will be authorized by the Collection Development Specialist. Donations of $200 or more may be designated to specific subject areas of the collection. Those under $200 will be placed in the fund and combined with other donations to purchase materials.

Please fill out our Donation Form and mail it, along with your donation, so that we may properly apply your funds. Make checks payable to City of Tyler and indicate that your check is for a donation. Mail to:

Book Plates

Book Plates provide an opportunity to honor people who have made a meaningful impact, celebrate a person's life and achievements, or remember those who have made a difference in your life. These donations are used to purchase books and other materials.

If you wish to make a monetary donation in honor, celebration, or memory of someone, please indicate so on the Donation Form. A special bookplate will be placed in the items purchased using those funds, and acknowledgment will be made to the person commemorated or their family.

Donations of Books and Materials

Our donations area is full! We are currently not accepting book or materials donations. An announcement will be made when these donations are accepted once again.
