Winter Reading Challenge

The annual Winter Reading Challenge wraps up on Jan 31. Participants can log their time read at TPL.Beanstack.org to earn rewards!

Coloring Sheet Contest

This coloring contest is for all age kids and adults. Participants can pick up a coloring sheet at a table in the lobby or at the Information Desk. For a chance to win art supplies, return the coloring sheet by Saturday, January 31. The coloring sheet entry needs to have an entry form with it. Those can be found at the table in the lobby or at the Information Desk.

Youth Activities

Open Makerspace | Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
Kids of all ages and families can join us to create, tinker, and explore! A variety of art supplies and STEM activities will be supplied for play.

Early Childhood Playday | Jan. 24  from 10:30- noon. Come-and-Go | Auditorium (First Floor)
Children from birth to preschool and their families can spend time playing, making art, and connecting with other families.

Storytime | Early Childhood | Birth to Preschool | Auditorium (First Floor)
Join library staff weekly for reading, singing, activities, and playtime at library storytimes! Jan. 21 and Jan. 22 at 11:30 a.m. Visit with East Texas Food Bank Nutrition Education Specialist after storytime. Snacks provided.

  • Baby Storytime: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
  • Preschool Storytime: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Art 4 Fun | Jan. 8 at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
Tweens and teens in Grades 5-12 can sign up at TylerLibrary.com to join this.

Homeschool Libratory | Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
Kids aged 5-12 years can learn about volcanoes.

Dungeons and Dragons Club | Grades 8-12 | First and Third Tuesday | 5 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)

Makerspace Activity | Jan. 2-31 | Rover Cart (First Floor)
Each month, our Rover Cart features a STEAM-oriented activity for kids to do when they visit the library. January will feature a sled-making activity!

Snow Making Activity | Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. | Makerspace (Third Floor)
For Grades K-12: Come join us and make your own winter wonderland fun.

Holiday Marshmallow Pop Making | Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m. | Rover Cart (First Floor)
Activity for children and families! Come join us in making some tasty, sweet treats.

Lego Challenge Club | Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. | Auditorium (First Floor)
For Ages 7 and up: Create a Marble Run followed by free play. Registration required.

Great Decisions starts Jan. 29 at 5:30 pm, and will continue every Thursday for 8 weeks. Enjoy hearing about global topics and having healthy discussions.
