Stories of '76: An America250 Storytelling Program

A classic painting of General George Washington crossing the Delaware River on December 25th, 1776. Washington stands tall at the front of a boat as his men row and push ice blocks out of the way. Other ships are seen doing the same in the distance.

Join us for a celebration of America250 with Stories of '76 on July 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Taylor Auditorium! Six talented tellers from across Texas share the stories of the people who fought for independence, as well as folktales from the colonial era and poems about the great nation where we live. Everyone ages 10 and up is invited to this must-see event!
