Get creative this October during the Tyler Public Library’s sixth annual Paper House Contest for children of all ages. Entries will be accepted from Thursday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Children may enter one or both contest categories:

Everyday Houses and Buildings

Haunted Houses and Fall Houses

Participants can use materials from home or craft supplies provided by the Friends of the Tyler Public Library and available on the Library’s craft cart. Paper, straws, buttons, plastic bottles, milk cartons, and other materials may be used to create a paper house.

For display purposes, entries may not be larger than a gallon milk jug. Completed houses must be brought to the Library by Oct. 31 to be entered in the contest. A library card is not required to participate.

One winner from each category will be announced Nov. 1. Each winner will receive a goody bag.
